We first met Cat + Ryan back at the start of 2011 at the Your Wedding Exhibition in Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, when they were looking for a videographer. They had spent quite sometime looking into wedding videography and we were delighted they chose us. They were in the process of planning their special day for late summer that very year. Well summer came and what a great day it was. The wedding ceremony took place outside at Maryculter House Hotel in Royal Deeside, one of our favourite wedding locations. Although it was a little bit windy, that didn’t stop Cat + Ryan having their wedding outside. Kind of spooky but just as they kissed during the ceremony the sun came out, wow!

We were extremely fortunate to work alongside the multi-award winning and very talented Nicholas Frost, who effortlessly captured some stunning moments. It was also great to work alongside Jules MacDonald, well worth checking out.  It was a fab day and we had a great time shooting Cat + Ryan as well as all their families and friends, and the NYC theme for the wedding breakfast was terrific, especially the place settings. This is their highlights video from their DVD.

Alison + Robbie, highlights

Alison and Robbie’s ceremony took place at Crichton Collegiate Church near Edinburgh. This was a stunning village church in Pathhead, which only has about 4 weddings per year and Alison and Robbie’s wedding was a very special day in Pathhead.  This was all set against the stunning backdrop of Oxenfoord Castle which was the venue for the wedding breakfast. We were extremely lucky to work alongside the very talented and multi-award winning Scott Hogg of Scott Hogg Photography.

So this is their highlights video of their day, it was quite an emotional day with some beautiful speeches and readings just too much to fit into our short highlights film but we’ve tried to capture the feeling of the day in this short film which features on their DVD.

Sonia + Mark were recently married at the stunning location of Maryculter House Hotel in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire. This was an amazing location for an amazing couple. We had a great time from start to finish. We were on hand from the guest arriving until Sonia + Mark took the dance floor. It was a very busy day for us with so much to see and film.  We were very lucky to work alongside the fantastic Gavin Leggat from Universal Imagesand joined Sonia, Mark and Gavin during their creative shoot too.

We’ve just had a lovely text message from Sonia + Mark that we’d like to share with you “Hi Westley…Thanks so much for the wedding DVD, it’s brilliant, we love it!!!!!! Thanks again. Sonia and Mark.”

Gill + Euan, highlights

Previously we shared a glimpse of Gill + Euan’s wedding day at Meldrum House Hotel. Well here is their highlights film. The day started with the boys playing some golf whilst the girls were getting ready and the marquee was being prepared for the ceremony. It was great to see everyone on the run up the ceremony and get some great prep shots.  Their highlights film is very much a film of two halves so hang on in there and see what happens at about 2 minute mark.

We had a fab time. Gill + Euan were so relaxed and I think that comes across during there film. Nicolas Frost was the appointed photographer unfortnately for Gill + Euan, last minute Nicolas couldn’t make as his wife was in labor with their baby. Not to worry in stepped the fabulous Kirstie Abbey we had a great time and got some great moments through out the day

We first met Natalie a little while back at the Your Wedding Event wedding show at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. She was also exhibiting at the wedding show and we got chatting about our films and what we do. She came past to see us again the following day to talk some more about her special day and booked us there and then. Seems like such a long time ago all that happened. There wedding took place this year at the privately owned Maryculter House hotel located in beautiful Royal Deeside in Aberdeenshire.

Here is their highlights film from their day. Natalie had said right at the start she wanted her highlights to be just a fun film with one of her favourite songs. So we kept it simple and just put together all the best moments from the day.  We had a great time shooting Natalie and Allan’s wedding. It was fantastic day and everybody was just having so much fun on the day it really made our job easy.

Gemma + John’s complete wedding day took place at the beautiful Thainstone House Hotel near Inverurie in this stunning part of Aberdeenshire. Thainstone House Hotel is a lovely wedding and reception venue. The weather that day was amazing for so early in the year and the sunlight was just pouring in the beautiful windows during their service.

After their ceremony we all headed outside for the photo-call and almost everyone else joined us as it was such a lovely afternoon and even warm for March. Then onto the wedding breakfast and speeches. Bruce, the best man had prepared a short video of the boys stag trip and well, Bruce 10 out of 10 for your best man speech. Don’t think I have laughed so much for a long time.

Nicola + Vito, highlights

This was our final wedding for 2010 and wow what a wedding it was. Talk about finishing on a high!  It was an amazing day and an amazing couple, Nicola + Vito such great fun. The ceremony was shot in the beautiful Portland Parish Church in Troon and party and nightclub, oops I mean wedding breakfast and reception was in the gorgeous Turnberry Resort.

5 words sum up this day: entertainment, entertainment, entertainment, Nicola + Vito. Check out the video half way through and you’ll see what I’m talking about.  However their day simply could not have happened the way it did without the fantastic team at 88 Events. We’ve worked with Sheila and the 88 Events previously but nothing was left untouched. Their attention to detail and organisation was amazing.

This short film is some of their highlights. I say some as there was far too many to fit into this film.
