Wedding films Scotland, trends, nostalgia and a look back

Last year was an amazing year we met so many terrific people and shared in their special day. We’ve just been looking back at many of the weddings we have been so fortunate to be part and wanted to share with you a glimpse at some of the amazing moments from those wedding films Scotland.

Whilst we are mainly specialise in Wedding films Scotland and the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire areas, we have been very fortunate to shot weddings all over the UK and during the winter period we are busy in the studio editing our wedding films and getting ready for YWE the North East Scotland largest wedding exhibition. However as the start of the year comes along we get short break and refresh for the upcoming wedding season and get a little bit nostalgic too.

If you are looking to get some ideas and inspiration for your wedding or curious to see what are the current wedding films Scotland trends then sit back, relax and check out our videos of some of our favourite moments from our weddings films over the last year.

Featured Venues: Fasque Chapel, Fasque Castle, Meldrum House Hotel, Monymusk Church, Monymusk Estate, Craigbuckler Church, The Marcliffe Hotel.

We’re super excited and pleased to share with you all, Keira + Jamie’s Fasque Castle Wedding Film. We had been eagerly awaiting Keira + Jamie’s wedding day as they planned so many great parts to their day and we kind of guessed that it was going to be fun from start to finish. The morning was spent with the girls and boys whilst they both got ready in the stunning settings of Fasque Castle, the girls in one wing of the castle and the boys in the other, never to meet in the middle.

We’ve been lucky enough to have shot quite a few Fasque Castle Wedding Film and we still love coming back to this magical venue. Whether it’s the stunning main house, the grounds, the cute chapel it really is breathtaking. Got Keira + Jamie after the mornings prep it was onto the formalities of the wedding ceremony itself in the lovely Fasque Chapel in the grounds of the estate. Then it was onto some drinks and canapés in gorgeous main hall of the castle for the guest whilst we spent a little more time with Keira + Jamie and the super talented Kirstie Abbey who was on hand to capture the beautiful of the images. If you’re not familiar with Kirstie’s work then head on over to her website to check examples of all her work.

Next stop the dining room for the speeches and wedding breakfast. It got a little emosh at times but the boys all held it together well. To be honest we love speeches that genuinely come from the heart so well done boys. Did we mention that these guys know how to party, party, party, they sang and danced during the wedding breakfast and into the evening. Keira + Jamie thank you so much for inviting to be part of your special day it really was a blast!

Joanne + Greg’s beautiful wedding took place at the stunning Fasque Castle located in a little sleepy corner Scotland. Joanne and the girls decided to get ready in the morning in the powder room within the castle and what a fantastic place to get ready for a wedding. During the morning we managed to have a little sneak peak around the Castle to see all the hard work and styling by Emma from Timeless White, who was on hand to help with the organising of day. The humanist ceremony took place underneath the archway in the Great Hall with the help of Rachel Donald and featured a hand fastening and a sand ceremony. We had the pleasure of working alongside the very talented Kirstie Abbey, who was woking her photography magic throughout the day. If you would like to see more of Joanne + Greg’s day then head on over to their gallery on Kirstie’s website.

When the ceremony was finished everyone had some drinks and yummy canapés and then it was over to the boys for the speeches of the day. We got to hear all about how Joanne + Greg first met and little more about their story. Then it was time to head back downstairs to the Great Hall where The Jets where all setup and ready to entertain us all into the small hours.  Joanne + Greg we just wanted to say we had an absolute blast shooting your wedding and thank you so much for inviting us to be part of your day, we hope you guys enjoy your film.

“We both just wanted to thank you for your amazing work on our Wedding Film, it is brilliant….Joanne hasn’t managed to watch the Film yet without crying which I think goes to show how brilliant it is…..Thank you SO much for our amazing wedding video….What an amazing job you did. ” – Joanne + Greg

We really do love a Fasque Castle Wedding, and this time we are very excited to share with you Amy + Richard’s terrific wedding day. These guys managed to pack in so much to the day right from get go. We spent the morning with girls before heading across to the absolutely gorgeous little chapel on the grounds of the Fasque Estate. What followed was a lovely personalised ceremony after which we all dashed back to the house dodging the rain along the way. We had Kim Dalglish working her floral magic for the girls and the beautiful dressing for the ceremony and wedding breakfast too. Next it was time for drinks and canapés will we got to spend a little time with just Amy + Richard and watch Calum Riddell work his magic, who captured the beautiful photography for the day. Meanwhile all the guest had a real treat and got to listen to Andy Lucas on the grand piano in the Great Hall in Fasque House.

Then it was onto the dining room for the speeches and a sumptuous meal and a few drinks were had. Not by us, obviously, we need a clear head for all our shooting for the day. All filled up and refuelled it was party time and Amy + Richard had enlisted the very talented Franco to start the party and party they did.  Amy + Richard, we hope you guys like you wedding highlights. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of your day and thank you so much inviting us in and looking after us too, we had a blast!

Time for another sneak peak. This time it’s Heather + Lee’s Fasque Castle wedding video. One of our fav venues to film weddings. We started out spending a little time with Heather and the girls in the powder room, yes powder room….well it is a castle and every girl deserves a powder room. We also got to have a little peak at the beautiful dressing and organising of the day by Emma from Timeless White. The wedding ceremony took place in the Great Hall with beautiful service from the lovely Brenda Reid of The Humanist Society of Scotland. It was superb to working alongside the uber talented Kirstie Abbey who was on hand to capture beautiful photography from the day. If you are not familiar with Kirstie’s work, where have you been? Then check out her  website Kirstie Abbey Photography.

After the ceremony it was time for some drinks, canapés and onto the speeches. This was a little different as Heather + Lee decided to have a sweetheart table (table for 2) as opposed the more formal top table, love this idea. With all that done it was time to party all night long with Bahookie, and in between a little trip outside for a little evening surprise of fireworks, sparklers and yummy hot chocolate.

So this is Heather + Lee’s teaser trailer, hope you enjoyed it. It was tough fitting so many fun moments into such a short film. Heather + Lee thank you so so so much for inviting us into your special day and making us so welcome and can’t say thank you without mentioning that yummy chocolate surprise you had for us….the choice camera has well….been devoured and enjoyed 🙂
