We’ve just delivered Emma + Philip’s wedding film and are excited to share with you their highlights. We were with Emma + Philip from the preparations until the evening. The morning started off with the girls getting ready and whilst shooting Emma’s shoes and jewellery we decided to move “the dress” out of her room and into another area. It was such an amazing dress we really wanted to get it up high so you could all see it fully. Thanks Emma for allowing us to do that and special thanks to bridesmaid Chrissie for your help.

We were really excited when Emma + Philip appointed us as their wedding videographer as we knew their day was going to be a lot of fun and it was a real pleaure to be part of their day. Emma + Philip thank you so much for inviting us into your special day. One last point to mention is Emma + Philip threw down some serious moves on the dance floor and we could only fit a small portion of this in the highlights but their main feature has them doing their thing in full, which is well worth checking out.

To all the people who took the time to write, email, call, comment on our blog and facebook page as well as send gifts we really appreciate it. In some ways we are little over come by it all, and well felt the need to say thank you and share with you some of lovely items we have received.

It is great fun working with our bride and grooms and we love making wedding films and really the all thank you messages is the icing on the cake (sorry we know a bad choice of words there), but it is what makes our job so much fun.

We love to hear back from our bride and grooms once they’ve received and watched their wedding films. All the memories come flooding back and lot of comments of “wow I couldn’t remember that moment”. Which is why having a videographer for your day is so so important, don’t just take our word for it ask our bride and grooms.

It seems like quite a while back when we first met Eilidh + Martin, we were very excited when the commissioned us for their video.  They had challenged themselves as Martin said “the difficult task of planning a wedding with 800 miles between you and the venue”.  However it was great to see Eilidh + Martin when the popped in past our studio on their trips up from London whilst planning their special day in Auchenblae.  Their ceremony took place in the beautiful St. Palladius’s Chapel in Auchenblae which is just a stone through away from the gorgeous setting for their drinks reception and wedding breakfast, Drumctochy Castle.  A truely unique and special venue which we have had pleasure of shooting quite a few times.

It’s always a delight to work Ewan and the team at Drumtochty Castle who are very well organised and always look after us when we’re filming.  We also had the pleasure of working alongside the very talented Simone from Deeside Photographics.  By the way we loved the table plans, which were photo frames that Eilidh + Martin had placed on the piano in the Gold room during the drinks reception.  After which it was time for everyone to head through to the ballroom, speeches, drinks and dancing into the wee small hours with entertainment from Bahookie. That’s really what we love about being “the wedding videographer” is that we get to meet so many lovely people, spend time with them on their special day and shoot some fantastic locations.

Debbie + Uilleam’s ceremony took place at Kings College Chapel, the chapel is quite significant to us as this is near a very familiar stomping ground, the campus of the University of Aberdeen where my wife and I spent quite a few years as a students and also where our daughter was christened.  Debbie + Uilleam were great to shoot very relaxed and we had a fab time with them. In fact we had great time shooting some of the creative sessions with the very talented Sam Brill Photography and look forward to working again with Sam very soon.

Back to Debbie + Uillem now. What made their ceremony very personal was that the minister conducting the ceremony was a cousin of Uillem and as such had a lot of lovely stories to share, we’ve given a little preview of this in the teaser and hope to include some more in their highlights too.   Work has started on the main edit of the wedding video so enough from us and back to the edit of their film.

Once again we’ve been busy working on yet another teaser trailer, and we are excited to share Emma + Philip’s trailer from their special day. It was a busy day for us shooting from bridal preparations and into the evening and was great spending time with Emma and girls in the morning.  That dress was wow! It was amazing. Emma kindly let us take it to another location in the hotel so we could get some fab shots of it.

We were delighted that Emma + Philip chose us as their appointed videographer as when we met with them we knew that their day was going to be fab. We had a great time shooting their day, as they were so relaxed and really they just wanted to have fun fun fun. Not forgetting Philip who later on just wanted some food as his tummy was rumbling. Work has well and truly started on their main video and we looked forward to sharing their highlights film once their main film is complete.

A little while back we shared with you Vickie + David’s teaser trailer. Well we recently delivered their dvd and wanted to share with you their highlights film from their day. Vickie + David decided to get married in the lovely St Moluag’s Church in Tarland just on the outskirts of Aberdeen. But before we got to that point we spent a little time shooting a bridal prep of the girls getting ready. The dresses, the fab shoes the jewellery so much going on and not to mention lots of hair dressers and make up people too. One of the great things about videography is that we visit some fantastic venues and places and Vickie + David’s day was no exception. They decided to hold their reception in the Lonach Hall in Strathdon. The Lonach Hall dates back to 1823 back in the days of King George IV but enough of the history lesson lets get back to Vickie + David day. Vickie had co-ordinated all the colours such that the bridesmaids dresses, matched the seat covers, the table plans, the flowers nothing was left out, fab attention to detail. We only wish we could have fitted more into their highlights film.

We feel very fortunate to work with the Bride and Grooms we have as our clients, we say clients but actually it really doesn’t really feel like that at all.  We tend to get to know people very well throughout the build up, the day itself and also afterwards when we deliver our films. Vickie + David were no exception a lovely couple and a fantastic day we thank you so much for allowing us into your special day and also taking care looking after us during the day and keeping us well fed too. As Vickie said on the day itself “happy videographer, happy bride” I couldn’t have put it better myself.

We’ve been pretty busy here working on our videos and just delivered another  film, this time Lisa + Scott, and are now delighted to be able to share with you Lisa + Scott’s highlights video. It was a fantastic day with their cermeony and reception taking place in Aberdeenshire, more specifically the beautiful Banchory Ternan East Church  and Tor Na Coille Hotel. We had a fab time as Lisa and Scott’s appointed wedding videographer and think that we captured some great moments.

Lisa and Scott had some great afternoon activities planned for their guest and the children, check out their wedding highlights video above and see what Lisa and Scott had planned mid way through for the afternoon, it was for the kids, but Lisa + Scott couldn’t resist and neither could we resist shooting that moment. Here at Aberdeen Wedding Films HQ we are busy working on Vickie and David’s DVD. Doesn’t seem that long ago we were with them at the fantastic Lonach Hall Strathdon and the beautiful St Moluag’s Church in Tarland.  It was a great day and we are very much enjoying editing their video. Even we forget some of those amazing moments until we watch it back at our studio, that’s the great thing about being a videographer. This is just a little snippet of their day but we wanted to share it with you. Actually we really wanted to share with Vickie + David, so we hope you like it guys.

We recently delivered Emma + Mikey’s DVD and are now delighted to be able to share with you Emma + Mikey’s highlights film. Their ceremony and reception took place at the gorgeous Meldrum House Hotel in Aberdeenshire, a venue that we are very familiar with, and love to shoot. We were very excited when Emma + Mikey chose us as appointed videographer as we knew they had some great things planned, amazing fireworks by Fireworkz Scotland and an awesome Chevy from Roadstars to name but a few.

We had a great day shooting and worked alongside the very talented Aberdeen photographer Jonathan Addie, well worth checking out if you are looking for something fresh and little different in photography. Editing their video brought back all the memories from their wedding day, just would like to say thank you so much Emma + Mikey!

Lisa and Scott decided to marry in a beaitful part of Aberdeen called Banchory. Their  ceremony took place in Banchory Ternan East and their recpetion and wedding breakfast in the fantastic Tor Na Coille. It was fantastic day filled with lots of amazing moments and lots of fab details.
