So time to share with you a little teaser of Emma +Douglas’ Gardenstown Church wedding. These guys have known each other from child hood and decided to tie the knot in their local village of Gardenstown. If you don’t know where Gardenstown is go look it up and maybe take a wee visit there, it’s a gorgeous place.
The wedding certainly was a family affair, with the Dads both playing key roles in the day. Emma’s Dad recounted some lovely stories of Emma growing and was very proud to be walking his little girl down the aisle. Also Douglas’ Father is also the minister for Gardenstown Church and was conducting the ceremony. So this film and teaser is definitely one about the Dad’s and Emma + Douglas too.
The day started out with us spending some time with the girls in the morning during the bridal prep and then it was off to Gardenstown Church for the ceremony in this beautiful and idilic location. To say we were blessed with the weather was kind of an understatement. I think Douglas’ Father put in a good word for him and Emma and boy did he deliver, it was a glorious day. We even managed to get a little time with the Emma + Douglas down near the harbour after which we moved swiftly onto Meldrum House Hotel. for the drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening party.
It really was a fantastic day from start to finish, highly personal and blessed with such amazing weather. We were also very fortunate to have on hand both Janie + David from Janie Barclay Photography of which it was an absolute pleasure to work with again. Emma + Douglas thank you for inviting us into your amazing day and thank you to your families and friends for making us feel so welcomed and part of the day.
